You often need to save your document’s images in Google Docs. But it is not allowed you to download an image directly. In this tutorial, we will look at the three methods to save an image from Google Docs.
- Download all Images as HTML File
- Publish to Web
- Use Google Keep
Download all Images as HTML File
By this method, you can save all the images of your document at once instead of keeping them one by one in HTML file format. The following are the steps to do this.
- First, click on the File tab of your document in which you would like to save your images.
- Now, select the download option, and then it will display the list of formats.
- Click on the Web Page, and your file will download as a zip file.
- After that, go to the downloads to open the file. In this, you have two separate files. One is the web page, and the other folder is images.
- Open the images folder and save all the images wherever you want.
Save Images by Publish to Web
Another method to save images is by publishing the document on the web. Then, it allows you to download by just right-clicking.
- Go to the File tab, click Share, then select Publish to the Web.
- Next, it will show you a dialog box to ask whether you want to publish it as Link or Embed it. Leave this as a link and click on the Publish button.
- Once you click on publish, the pop-up will display on the top with the question, “Are you sure you want to publish the selection?”. Click ok.
- After that, Google Docs will show you the link to published content on the web.
- Copy and paste the link into the new tab, and then you will see it as a Web page that includes all images.
- Right-click on the image and select Save Image as an option to save images individually.
Use Google Keep
Google Keep works similarly to Google Docs, and you can save individual images of Google Docs in Google Keep. Below are the steps to do.
- First, right-click on the image that you want to save.
- Then, select the save to keep option from the drop-down.
- It will open in the sidebar with the selected image.
- Now, right-click on the image in the keep notes and select save image as an option.
- In the end, choose the folder where you want to save the image.
