How to Make an Image a Circle in Google Docs

In Google Docs, you can create an image into a circle by adding it to the drawing tool. Also, edit the image from the formatting options in the main menu and then import it into the document by the save and close button.

In this tutorial, we will go through the steps to make an image a circle and the options to change its formatting.

Steps to Make an Image a Circle

  1. First, place the cursor where you want to make an image a circle in Google Docs.
  2. After that, go to Insert in the menu.
  3. Then, hover over to the Drawing and select new.

  4. The drawing window will appear when you click on new.
  5. Here, click on the image option next to the text box.

  6. Now, you can insert the image using any of the following methods: URL, from Google Drive, or your albums.

  7. After uploading your image in the drawing window, you can observe that it is in a different shape.

  8. Next, you need to select the image to make it in a circle.
  9. Click on the crop tool drop-down menu and select the shapes option here.
  10. You may find various shapes in the shapes menu, but we need to select the circle to make an image.

  11. Once you click on the circle, your image will change into a circular form.

  12. Use the blue squares to adjust the image and rotate it from the top blue circle to give it a perfect circle shape.

Formatting Options

The drawing tool has multiple options to change the formatting of the image.

  1. If you want to add the text, insert it using the text box above.
  2. Likewise, you may change the outline color, border thickness, and weight.

  3. After making all the adjustments, click the save and close button on the top to add a circular image to your document.

Note: You can download the image directly from the Drawing window. Just click on Actions, then download and select the format you need, like PDF document, JPEG image, PNG image, and so on.
